The Founder

Anikah George is the beloved founder of The Black Girls Dream Foundation. She is a current student at Florida A&M University. Anikah hails from Fort Pierce, FL, and is the daughter of two parents from Antigua & Barbuda. She attends FAMU with a major in Nursing. Throughout her matriculation through Florida A&M University, she has served as the Fundraising Chair for the Relay for Life, treasurer for the FAMU Section of the National Council of Negro Women Inc., as well as the co-founder of clubs at FAMU.

Since she was a child, her goal has been to help others. This has evolved into volunteering and giving back to the Treasure Coast, the campus of Florida A&M University, and beyond. The spark of the foundation started in December 2022 with the inaugural scholarship, which honored three students at FAMU. She aims to light the torch of empowerment in every young woman she engages with, and through the foundation, she aims to start a legacy for generations to come.
